Respect the equipment, and other people’s projects and property - No exceptions to this, you will be expected to treat all tools and equipment with the care they deserve, and use them as they are intended. Other people’s projects are all interesting, and as valid as your own, please be mindful of the impact your actions may have on others - e.g. don't shower your fellow Dream Machine Workshoppers with welding sparks. Abuse towards anybody will not be tolerated.

Tool breakage - Occasional tool breakage is part and parcel of working in a workshop environment, and as long as the tool was being used as expected, it's no issue. Let us know if it happens and we'll make an assessment of what's the situation to ensure it's not as a result of incorrect use. If the tool had simply worn out, or had a fault, The Dream Machine Workshop will replace it. If you broke it through improper use, you will be charged the cost price of a replacement.

Overrunning - We're all aware that most jobs are only one broken bolt away from a 3-day ordeal. So, in the event of this happening, we'll have a chat with you about how to move forward in a way that's fair to The Dream Machine Workshop, and you the customer. But let’s get it fixed!

Fair use of consumables - Consumables are things like brake cleaner, WD40, greases and second hand fixings. There will always be a full set of cleaners and lubes when your workshop time starts, and if you need to refill, these will be charged at cost price. Any second-hand fixings you use are free of charge, but please don't rinse the supply as they're here for everyone's use. There's vending machines of new fixings for anything that needs more than a few. Or bring your own and keep them with your project ready for next time.

Storage of your project - This is offered on a first come first served basis, as we only have a certain amount of space. But your project will be in safe hands with us! All storage days are charged at a day rate to make things easy, and cost depends on the size of what you're storing. If you have workshop time booked for the next day.

ACCEPTANCE OF THESE TERMS

By making a reservation or booking for workshop, classes, courses, or any services provided by The Dream Machine Workshop, you acknowledge and agree to abide by these Booking Terms and all associated policies. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and The Dream Machine Workshop. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please refrain from making a reservation or booking with us.

DEFINITIONS

Booking: The act of reserving and securing a slot for workshop time, classes, courses, or any services provided by The Dream Machine Workshop.
"Build-It" workshops: These are workshop session where participants engage in hands-on activities to construct or create a tangible project, typically from raw materials or components. These workshops are designed to guide participants through the process of building a specific item, such as a piece of machinery, a vehicle component, or any other tangible product, under the guidance and instruction of The Dream Machine Workshop's staff. These sessions are distinct from standard workshop hire time.
Cancellation: The act of voiding a previously made booking within the specified timeframes and according to the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Cancellation & Refund Policy: The policy governing the terms of cancellation and refunds of any workshop, classes, courses, membership, or services booked on our website.
Consumables: Items such as brake cleaner, WD40, greases, and second-hand fixings provided by The Dream Machine Workshop for use during workshop time.
Fair Use of Consumables: Responsible and equitable utilisation of consumable items provided by The Dream Machine Workshop, including without limitation, brake cleaner, WD40, greases, and second-hand fixings.
Membership Plans: Subscription-based plans offered by The Dream Machine Workshop, providing discounts on workshop time, classes, and workshops.
Participant: Any individual who has made a booking or reservation for workshop time, classes, or services at The Dream Machine Workshop.
Project: The personal undertaking or work that a participant intends to complete during their reserved workshop time.
Project Storage: The optional service of securely storing participants' projects at The Dream Machine Workshop, available on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to the appropriate fees.
Reservation: The act of selecting a specific date and time for workshop activities through the online booking system.
Rescheduling: The process of changing the date and time of a previously made booking, subject to the terms mentioned in the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
Termination of Booking: The discontinuation or cancellation of a participant's workshop time or access to The Dream Machine Workshop due to safety concerns, policy violations, or other relevant reasons.
Tier System: A classification system used by The Dream Machine Workshop to categorise and describe the complexity of tools and equipment available.
Tool Breakage: Damage or breakage of tools or equipment during workshop activities, subject to assessment for responsibility.
Tool Breakage Assessment: An evaluation process conducted by The Dream Machine Workshop to determine the cause and responsibility for any damaged or broken tools or equipment during workshop activities.
Workshop: The physical space provided by The Dream Machine Workshop for participants to work on their projects using available tools and equipment. Workshop is located at: The Pleck Bidford on Avon Alcester B50 4BB.
The Dream Machine Workshop: It refers to our company, The Dream Machine Workshop LTD, bearing Company Registration Number: 14508521, and having its registered office at 6 Queens Avenue, Shipston on Stour, Warwickshire, CV36 4DE.
Terms or Agreement: It shall refer to these Booking Terms.

Workshop Tour: An informal introduction and overview of The Dream Machine Workshop provided to participants, often including a discussion of safety protocols and equipment usage.

BOOKING AVAILABILITY

Operating Hours: The Dream Machine Workshop operates during the following hours:

Thursday evenings: 19:30 - 23:00
Friday, Saturday, and Sunday: 08:00 - 23:00

Participants are encouraged to book workshop time within these operating hours.

Days of the Week: Workshop time slots may be available on specific days of the week. Participants should inquire about the days on which workshop time can be booked.
Holiday Closures: The Dream Machine Workshop may be closed on certain holidays or special occasions. Participants should be aware of any holiday closures and plan their bookings accordingly.
Advanced Booking: Participants are encouraged to book their workshop time in advance to secure their preferred time slots. Availability is subject to demand, and early booking is recommended.
Last-Minute Bookings: In some cases, last-minute bookings may be available, subject to availability. Participants should contact The Dream Machine Workshop staff to inquire about the possibility of last-minute bookings.
Special Events: The Dream Machine Workshop may host special events or workshops that could affect the availability of regular workshop time slots. Participants should check with The Dream Machine Workshop for information on any upcoming special events.
Reservation Changes: Participants may request changes to their workshop time reservations, such as rescheduling or extending their time slot. Such changes are subject to availability and should be requested in advance.
Cancellation Policy: Participants should review the cancellation policy outlined in the Cancellation & Refund Policy posted on the website, for information on cancellations and associated charges.

RENTAL TERMS

Equipment Rental: Participants will have the option to rent equipment, tools, or machinery for use during their workshop time. The availability of rental equipment is subject to The Dream Machine Workshop's discretion.
Rental Fees: Rental fees, if applicable, will be communicated to participants at the time of booking. Participants are responsible for paying the specified rental fees in addition to their workshop time charges.
Rental Period: The rental period shall commence at the start of the workshop time slot and conclude at the end of the same time slot. Participants must return rented equipment promptly at the end of their workshop time unless prior arrangements have been made with The Dream Machine Workshop staff.
Equipment Condition: Participants are responsible for ensuring the proper use and care of rented equipment. Any damage or excessive wear to rental equipment may result in additional charges or fees, as determined by The Dream Machine Workshop.
Equipment Availability: Rental equipment is subject to availability and may be reserved on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants are encouraged to inquire about equipment availability when booking their workshop time.
Equipment Return: At the conclusion of the rental period, participants must return rented equipment to The Dream Machine Workshop staff in the same condition as when received. Failure to return equipment promptly or in good condition may result in additional charges.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE PARTICIPANTS

Respect for Equipment and Projects: Participants are expected to treat all tools, machinery, equipment, and materials provided by The Dream Machine Workshop with care and respect. They must use these resources as intended and not engage in any misuse or unauthorised modifications. Furthermore, participants are required to respect the projects and property of fellow workshop attendees. This includes refraining from actions that may cause damage or disruption to others' projects.
Appropriate Attire: Participants must wear appropriate clothing that is close-fitting and refrain from wearing dangly or loose jewellery while in the workshop. Participants must also wear suitable footwear during workshop activities; open shoes are not permitted to ensure safety.
Safety Compliance: The safety of all participants is paramount. Participants must adhere to safety protocols, guidelines, and instructions provided by The Dream Machine Workshop staff. This includes the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety procedures while working in the workshop.
Disclaimer: Participants acknowledge and agree that they are responsible for their safety and the safety of others while participating in activities at The Dream Machine Workshop. The Dream Machine Workshop disclaims all liability for any injuries, accidents, damages, or losses that may occur as a result of participants' actions or interactions within the workshop premises.
Skill Level Assessment: To ensure the safe use of equipment and machinery, participants may be required to undergo a skill level assessment, such as a workshop tour or other evaluation methods. Participants should cooperate with these assessments and follow any recommendations provided by The Dream Machine Workshop staff.
Tool Breakage Reporting: In the event of any tool breakage or equipment malfunction, participants must immediately inform The Dream Machine Workshop staff. A tool breakage assessment will be conducted to determine responsibility and potential charges, as outlined in these Booking Terms.
Overrunning: Participants should be aware of their workshop time slots and strive to complete their projects within the allocated time. In the event of overrunning due to unforeseen circumstances, participants must promptly communicate with The Dream Machine Workshop staff to discuss potential solutions and additional charges.
Fair Use of Consumables: Participants are encouraged to use consumable items provided by The Dream Machine Workshop responsibly. This includes brake cleaner, WD40, greases, and second-hand fixings, amongst others. Refills may be charged at cost price, and participants are expected not to deplete the supply intended for communal use.
Project Storage: If participants choose to store their projects within The Dream Machine Workshop premises, they are responsible for adhering to storage guidelines and paying any applicable storage fees. The Dream Machine Workshop reserves the right to allocate storage space on a first-come, first-served basis.
Consent for Photography and Videography: Participants are responsible for obtaining consent from any individuals who may be captured in photographs or videos taken during their workshop time. It is essential to respect the privacy and consent of all individuals present within The Dream Machine Workshop premises.
Compliance with Laws: Participants are expected to comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and intellectual property rights while working on their projects within The Dream Machine Workshop premises.

HEALTH AND SAFETY GUIDELINES

Safety Compliance: The safety and well-being of all participants are of paramount importance at The Dream Machine Workshop. Participants are required to adhere to the following health and safety guidelines:
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Participants must use the provided personal protective equipment (PPE) when working within the workshop premises. The types of PPE required will be communicated by The Dream Machine Workshop staff and may include safety glasses, ear protection, gloves, and other relevant gear. Specific Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements for various activities will be communicated prior to workshop commencement.
Safety Training: Participants should attend any safety training or orientation sessions provided by The Dream Machine Workshop staff. These sessions are designed to familiarise participants with workshop equipment, tools, and safety procedures.
Equipment Use: Participants are responsible for using all equipment and machinery in a safe and appropriate manner. It is strictly prohibited to use equipment for purposes other than their intended use.
First Aid: First aid kits and emergency response equipment are available within the workshop premises. In the event of an injury or emergency, participants should immediately notify The Dream Machine Workshop staff.
Emergency Exits: Participants must be aware of the location of emergency exits and evacuation procedures. In case of an emergency, participants should follow evacuation instructions provided by staff.
Hazard Reporting: Participants are encouraged to report any hazards, safety concerns, or equipment malfunctions to The Dream Machine Workshop staff promptly.
Responsibility for Safety: While The Dream Machine Workshop is committed to providing a safe environment, participants share responsibility for their safety and the safety of others. Failure to comply with safety guidelines or engage in reckless or unsafe behaviour may result in immediate expulsion from the workshop premises.
Liability Waiver: Participants acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with working in a workshop environment. They hereby release The Dream Machine Workshop, its employees, and representatives from any liability for injuries, accidents, or damages that may occur while participating in activities at the workshop.

INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OWNERSHIP

Website and Content Ownership: The Dream Machine Workshop retains full ownership of its website and content, including all content, courses, images, text, graphics, logos, and design elements featured on the website or in any of the courses or learning material provided. No part of the website or its content may be reproduced, distributed, or used without explicit written permission from The Dream Machine Workshop.
Workshop Equipment Ownership: All tools, machinery, equipment, and materials provided by The Dream Machine Workshop premises remain the sole property of The Dream Machine Workshop. Materials are included in the cost for both standard classes and 'Build-It' workshops. Additional materials, if required, are available for purchase by participants engaged in workshop time.
Participant's Project Ownership: Participants retain full ownership of the projects they bring into the workshop. The Dream Machine Workshop does not claim any ownership rights over participants' projects or the intellectual property associated with them.
Consumables: Consumables provided by The Dream Machine Workshop, including but not limited to brake cleaner, WD40, and greases, are intended for use during workshop time and remain the property of The Dream Machine Workshop.
Shared Tool Usage: Participants are granted access to shared tools and equipment during their workshop time but do not acquire ownership rights over these tools. All shared tools remain the property of The Dream Machine Workshop.
Project Storage: Projects stored within The Dream Machine Workshop premises, whether for a fee or overnight, remain under the ownership of the respective participants.
Intellectual Property: Participants are responsible for ensuring that their projects and actions within The Dream Machine Workshop comply with intellectual property laws. The Dream Machine Workshop bears no responsibility for violations of intellectual property rights.
Access to Projects: The Dream Machine Workshop reserves the right to access and move participants' projects within the workshop premises for safety, maintenance, or logistical reasons.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND VIDEOGRAPHY RELEASE

Consent: By participating in activities at The Dream Machine Workshop, you grant The Dream Machine Workshop and its authorised representatives the irrevocable and unrestricted right to take photographs and videos of you and your project during your workshop time. You consent to the use of these photographs and videos for promotional, marketing, or educational purposes, including but not limited to website content, social media, advertising, and print materials. Participants have the right to opt-out of photography and videography before their workshop time begins, respecting their privacy preferences. Release: You release The Dream Machine Workshop, its employees, and representatives from any and all claims, actions, demands, suits, liabilities, or damages arising out of or related to the use of these photographs and videos, including any invasion of privacy or infringement of personal rights.
Public Availability and Compensation Waiver: You understand that the photographs and videos taken may be made available to the public, and you waive any rights or claims to compensation for their use. If you do not wish to grant these rights, please inform The Dream Machine Workshop staff in writing before your workshop time begins.

PROHIBITED CONDUCT

Age Limitations: Participants must be of legal adult age to book workshop time at The Dream Machine Workshop. Minors are not allowed access to workshop facilities unless accompanied by a legal guardian or parent who assumes full responsibility for their actions and safety within the premises.
Tier-Level Equipment Usage: Participants are required to use only the tools and equipment that correspond to their designated Tier level, as determined by The Dream Machine Workshop. Using tools or equipment from a higher Tier without authorisation is strictly prohibited and may result in the termination of workshop time.
Intoxication: The consumption of alcoholic beverages or any controlled substances that may impair judgment or coordination is strictly prohibited within The Dream Machine Workshop premises. Participants under the influence of such substances will not be permitted to use workshop time and may face further consequences as determined by The Dream Machine Workshop staff.
Unauthorised Access: Participants are prohibited from accessing or attempting to access any areas of the workshop that are off-limits or restricted. This includes designated staff-only areas, storage areas, and machinery control rooms.
Inappropriate Conduct: The Dream Machine Workshop maintains a respectful and professional environment for all participants. Any form of harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct towards other participants, staff, or visitors will not be tolerated. Violators may be immediately ejected from the premises and may face further actions, including legal consequences.
Weapons: Participants are strictly prohibited from bringing weapons or any dangerous objects into The Dream Machine Workshop premises. This includes firearms, knives, explosives, or any items that may pose a threat to safety.
Pets and Animals: Animals, except for authorised service animals, are not allowed within The Dream Machine Workshop premises due to safety and hygiene reasons.
Commercial Activities: Participants may not engage in commercial activities, solicitations, or sales within The Dream Machine Workshop without prior written consent from The Dream Machine Workshop management.
Photography and Videography: Participants must refrain from taking photographs or videos of other participants or their projects without obtaining explicit consent from the individuals involved. This includes respecting the privacy and intellectual property rights of fellow participants.
Use of Personal Tools and Equipment: Participants are encouraged to use the tools and equipment provided by The Dream Machine Workshop. The use of personal tools and equipment must be approved by The Dream Machine Workshop staff to ensure compatibility and safety.
Alterations to Workshop Equipment: Participants are strictly prohibited from making any unauthorised alterations, modifications, or repairs to workshop equipment, machinery, or facilities.
Non-Compliance with Policies: Participants are expected to comply with all policies, guidelines, and terms outlined in these Booking Terms, as well as any additional instructions provided by The Dream Machine Workshop staff. Non-compliance may result in the termination of workshop time and potential exclusion from future bookings.

COURSES AND TRAINING DISCLAIMER

Non-Formal Training: The Dream Machine Workshop may offer non-formal training sessions or courses to participants who wish to gain familiarity with the tools, machinery, and equipment within the workshop. These training sessions are designed to provide basic guidance and instruction and are not intended to confer any formal qualifications or certifications, such as NVQ or City and Guilds.
No Professional Instruction: Participants understand and acknowledge that The Dream Machine Workshop staff conducting these training sessions are not certified or qualified teachers or instructors in any recognised educational or professional capacity. The training provided is informal and aimed at assisting participants in using workshop facilities and equipment more effectively.
Waiver of Liability: Participants who choose to participate in non-formal training sessions or courses offered by The Dream Machine Workshop do so voluntarily and at their own risk. By engaging in these activities, participants acknowledge and accept that:

The training provided is non-formal and does not confer professional qualifications.
The Dream Machine Workshop, its employees, representatives, and affiliates are not liable for any injuries, damages, or losses that may occur during or as a result of these training sessions.
It is the responsibility of participants to exercise due care and caution while using workshop tools and equipment, regardless of any training received.

Informed Consent: Participants hereby provide their informed consent to participate in any non-formal training sessions or courses offered by The Dream Machine Workshop. This consent signifies their understanding of the informal nature of the training and their agreement to waive any claims related to the training or its outcomes.

DISCLAIMER, ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND LIABILITY WAIVER

Work or Repairs: Please note that any work or repairs carried out by participants at The Dream Machine Workshop are solely the responsibility of the participant, and The Dream Machine Workshop LTD shall not be held liable for any issues or consequences arising from such work. Participants are expected to ensure the safety and quality of their projects. The Dream Machine Workshop reserves the right to cancel a participant's workshop time, class, or workshop session at any time if they are deemed to be engaging in behaviour that poses a danger to themselves, others, or the workshop environment.
Assumption of Risk: By booking workshop time and participating in activities at The Dream Machine Workshop, participants acknowledge and accept the inherent risks associated with working in a workshop environment, including the use of tools, machinery, and equipment.
Release of Claims: Participants hereby release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue The Dream Machine Workshop, its employees, representatives, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, injury, death, or damage, including personal injury or property damage, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.
Indemnification: Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless The Dream Machine Workshop, its employees, representatives, and affiliates from any claims or actions brought by third parties as a result of the participant's actions, negligence, or misconduct during their workshop time.
Limitation of Liability: In no event shall The Dream Machine Workshop be liable for any indirect, consequential, incidental, special, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with the use of workshop time, even if The Dream Machine Workshop has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Safety Responsibility: Participants are responsible for their own safety and the safety of others within the workshop premises. Participants must adhere to all safety guidelines and instructions provided by The Dream Machine Workshop staff.
No Warranty: The Dream Machine Workshop makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the suitability, safety, or fitness for a particular purpose of the workshop facilities, tools, equipment, or machinery.
Acknowledgment of Understanding: Participants acknowledge that they have read and understand the terms of this release and liability waiver, and they voluntarily agree to its provisions.

TERMINATION

Termination by Participant: Participants may terminate their workshop time booking by providing advance notice to The Dream Machine Workshop as outlined in the Cancellation and Refund Policy posted on the website.
Termination by The Dream Machine Workshop: The Dream Machine Workshop reserves the right to terminate a participant's workshop time booking under the following circumstances:

Violation of Terms: If a participant violates any of the terms and conditions outlined in these Booking Terms or engages in unsafe or disruptive behaviour within the workshop premises, The Dream Machine Workshop may terminate the booking immediately without refund.
Non-Payment: Failure to make payment for workshop time or any associated fees may result in the termination of the booking.
Safety Concerns: If The Dream Machine Workshop staff determines that a participant's actions pose a safety risk to themselves or others within the workshop, the booking may be terminated.

Refund upon Termination: In the event of termination by The Dream Machine Workshop, no refund or compensation will be provided to the participant for any unused workshop time.
Return of Workshop Space: Upon termination, the participant must promptly vacate the workshop space and return any equipment or tools used to their designated storage areas.
No Liability: The Dream Machine Workshop shall not be liable for any losses, damages, or inconvenience resulting from the termination of a booking.

GOVERNING LAW

Governing Law: The Terms and any dispute arising from the same will be governed by applicable laws of England (UK).
Good Faith Negotiation: In the event of any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or in connection with these Terms or our services, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter through good-faith negotiations. The party seeking resolution must provide written notice to the other party, outlining the nature of the dispute and proposing a resolution. The receiving party shall respond in writing within a reasonable time.
Exclusive Jurisdiction: All disputes must first be attempted to be resolved amicably, failing which, such controversy, conflict or dispute shall be finally settled by bringing it exclusively before the appropriate courts located near to Bidford-on-Avon, United Kingdom.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

At The Dream Machine Workshop, we understand that plans can change, and we aim to provide flexibility for our participants. However, it's important to have clear guidelines in place to manage rescheduling and cancellations effectively. This Cancellation and Refund Policy (hereinafter referred to as the “Policy”) outlines the procedures and charges associated with rescheduling and cancelling workshop time, classes, and workshops. We encourage participants to review this policy carefully to ensure a smooth and fair process for all involved.

All bookings and purchases made on the website are governed by this Policy, and all rescheduling, cancellation, and refund requests must be made in accordance with this Policy. Please read this carefully before making any booking or payment.

ACCEPTANCE OF THIS POLICY

By booking workshop time, classes, or workshops with The Dream Machine Workshop, you acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions outlined in this Cancellation and Refund Policy. It is your responsibility to read and understand these terms, including the associated charges for rescheduling and cancellations. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please refrain from booking our services.

RESCHEDULING OF WORKSHOP TIME

Rescheduling with More Than 48 Hours Notice: If you need to reschedule your booked workshop time, class, or workshop session and provide more than 48 hours notice, no additional charges will be incurred. The Dream Machine Workshop will accommodate rescheduling requests without any penalty in such cases.
Rescheduling with Less Than 48 Hours Notice: Rescheduling with less than 48 hours notice will result in a charge equal to 10% of the cost of your originally booked time, class, or workshop session. This fee is applicable to cover administrative and scheduling expenses incurred.

In such cases, The Dream Machine Workshop will accommodate rescheduling requests without any penalty.

Cancellation with More Than 48 Hours Notice: Participants can cancel their booked workshop time free of charge if the cancellation is made with more than 48 hours notice before the scheduled time slot. In such cases, The Dream Machine Workshop will provide a full refund of any payments made.
Cancellation with Less Than 48 Hours Notice: If a cancellation is made with less than 48 hours notice before the scheduled workshop time, a cancellation fee of 50% of the cost of the booked time will be applied. This fee is to cover administrative and scheduling costs.
