Intro to the Metal Mill - part 2

This as the name suggests is the follow on from 'Intro to the metal mill' However this could also be a refresher Skills class for you who need to brush up some Skills.

So, we'll start with how to use the Digital read out to drill multiple holes, both in straight lines and on a PCD, how to use the DRO to cut slots and pockets bigger than the cutter being used. Next, we'll look at how to set up the Rotary table, and how to cut radial slots. Along the way in this class, we will be looking at cutter choice and spindle speed, depth of cut, feed rates, and cutter engagement.
